Thank you for your interest in presenting at NHSA’s 2019 Parent and Family Engagement Conference 

The Conference will be held at the Anaheim Marriott Suites in Anaheim, California.

Presentation Format 

  • Education Session/Workshop (1 hour)
  • Education Session/ Workshop (1.5 hours)
  • Learning Express/ Pop-Up Talk (15 mins)

Selection Criteria

  • Quality and originality of content that revolves around the Head Start Program Performance Standards
  • Relevance of topic to the target audience that tie in PFCE goals, family outcomes, parent involvement, ELOF and school readiness
  • Topic reflects innovative ideas on meeting Head Start’s goal of Continuous Quality Improvement
  • Creative presentation strategies that meet the different styles of the adult learner to ignite learning and audience interaction.
  • Presentations must include a combination of information sharing, group discussions, and reflection.
  • Professional experience, regional diversity, and public speaking abilities that engage the learner

Note: Proposals designed to promote products or services will not be considered.

Communities of Practice 
Proposals will be considered and evaluated in each of the nine Communities of Practice areas. A Community of Practice is a broad category in which session offerings are grouped to assist attendees in identifying content areas for which they have a particular interest. They indicate a target audience. Please check one to three Communities of Practice for your proposed session in the section below.
